BASIC FUNCTION

Regional Manager will manage a team of five Regional Sales Specialsts in a multi-state area; representatives will call on a combination of physician office and hospitals, selling a new product in the Endoscopic Sinus Surgery market to ENTs. Manager will be responsible to motivate the team through field visits, conference calls and emails and to submit required call and activity reports through provided equipment. Manager will work with various individuals within the company (distribution/marketing/contracts, etc.) to develop team and individual strategies and initiatives that drive product sales. Only candidates with 2+ years management experience in the physician office and/or hospital markets -- including pharma managers -- will be considered.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Responsible for direct sales calls, initiating and implementing clinical product evaluations, securing new customers while expanding product usage at existing accounts.
  2. Develop and implement a territory sales & marketing plan that will ensure attainment or exceeding of sales quota; review results periodically and take corrective action as needed.
  3. Create and implement appropriate sales strategies and tactics to meet changing conditions and specific marketing challenges in assigned territory.
  4. Attend and participate in local and national trade shows and conventions as required; assist in equipment coordination, set-up and product demonstrations.
  5. Input thorough and concise account and call information into CRM and update weekly.
  6. Complete and submit required administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  7. Complete and maintain vendor credentialing qualifications including requisite vaccinations.
  8. Provide product in-servicing, training and technical support to customers when necessary.
  9. Actively participate in all team meetings and calls; proactively share customer feedback and Best Practices.  
  10. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy, and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with medical staff.
  • Working knowledge of procedures that implement hemodynamic monitoring, and the capital equipment sales process, successful experience shepherding products through VAC to closure.
  • Proven ability to consultatively and persuasively sell to a highly clinical audience; well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High energy, positive, and confident.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude; ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Availability to travel 60%.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Life Sciences/ Communication or related field.
  • 2+ year’s experience as a sales manager in medical device.
  • Previous experience managing and selling to Anesthesiologists a significant plus.
  • Competent computer skills to perform essential functions listed above.
