This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and executing successful lead generation strategies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented, possess excellent communication and reporting skills, and be passionate about medical device, diagnostics, and healthcare product companies. This role will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads through various outreach methods, ultimately building a pipeline for the Sales Team. Requirements include researching market trends, generating leads, managing internal and external relationships, as well as CRM management and reporting. This role will interface with potential clients and provide recommendations to leadership based on the understanding of the client’s organizational strategic direction and business needs. The role of Business Development Representative will report to the Marketing Director. Key Responsibilities:
Actively seek out potential clients by researching, identifying, and contacting prospects through various channels likeemail, social media, and networking.
Assess the potential of leads by understanding their needs, budget, and timeline, determining if they are a good fit for the company's products or services.
Build relationships with prospects to understand their needs and establish trust, paving the way for future sales interactions.
Schedule meetings and calls between prospects and SF4H leadership, ensuring a smooth transition to the proposal process.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on leads and prospects within the CRM system
Track key metrics, such as lead generation, conversion rates, and pipeline health.
Work closely with internal teams to align efforts and ensure a consistent messaging and approach.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to identify potential new business avenues.
Make presentations/recommendations
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors' Degree or higher in business administration, sales or relevant field
Proven working experience as a business development representative, or other relevant role
Proven sales track record
Experience in customer support is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
Proficiency in English
Market knowledge
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to build rapport
Excellent Time management and planning skills
Preferred Requirements:
A background in medical device industry knowledge is preferred
Ability to review and comprehend financial reports
Computer Skills:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at time
Hybrid Requirements:
Report to Raleigh corporate office 3 days a week or as needed.
Option to work remotely 2 days a week but must have:
Basic computer and hardware proficiency to set up remote workstation
Hardwired internet connection at home office
Must have a private and quiet office space at home office free of interruption to conduct professional calls
